Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is known 'the God of Cricket'as well as "Master Blaster'' and a role model for aspiring cricketers around the world. His father, Ramesh Tendulkar, a novelist and poet in Marathi language and his mother was Rajni Tendulkar. He was born on April 24, 1973. His wife Anjali Tendulkar, a doctor by profession and they have a daughter and a son. He was made India's captain at the age of 23. He retired ending his playing days with records for the most career international runs (34,357) and Test runs (15,921). He was the member of the team in 2011 World Cup which was won the title against Sri Lanka. He was received many prestigious awards like Arjuna Award, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Padma Shri, Maharashtra Bhushan Award, Padma Vibhushan and also received Bharat Ratna in 2014. He was included into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in 2019. His Autobiography is name as ‘Playing It My Way’.
